Call for application - Thesis Prize 2017
2017, September 4, 12pm : Deadline for the submission of applications

The Thesis Prize, created in 2009, will reward for the ninth consecutive year the best theses in the field of nanosciences and prepared in one of the 33 associated laboratories.

The Prize is worth 1500€ and is awarded every year to one or more young phd students on the unique criterion of scientific excellence, evaluated by a jury composed by the Steering Committee of the Nanosciences Foundation . The director of the Doctoral School of Physics is a member of the jury.

For 2017, young phd students who have defended their thesis between:
1st February 2016 and 31st January 2017 inclusive.

The application must be submitted by the thesis supervisor or by the Director of the laboratory.
It must include:

➜ a copy of the thesis manuscript, and a link to a URL allowing
To consult the thesis (type HAL)
➜ the report of defense written by the President of the Jury of the Thesis,
➜ the reports of the rapporteurs,
➜ the reprints of the publications resulting from the thesis work.

These complete application forms must be sent by post to the Nanosciences Foundation in printed form.
In addition, an electronic version of the complete dossier must be sent by e-mail (in the form of a single compressed file .zip or .rar type) to the Director of the Foundation.

2017, September 4, 12pm : Deadline for the submission of applications

At the official awards ceremony in January 2018, the winners will be invited to Grenoble to give a short presentation of their work and receive their prize from the Nanosciences Foundation ’s President. Traditionally, researchers recently awarded of prestigious awards join the ceremony.
