Call for application - Thesis Prize 2018
2018, September 3, 12pm : Deadline for the submission of applications

The Thesis Prize, created in 2009, will reward for the tenth consecutive year the best theses in the field of nanosciences and prepared in one of the 33 associated laboratories.

The Prize is worth 1500€ and is awarded every year to one or more young PhD students on the unique criterion of scientific excellence, evaluated by a jury composed by the Steering Committee of the Nanosciences Fondation. The director of the Doctoral School of Physics is a member of the jury.

For 2018, young PhD student who defended his/her thesis between:
1st February 2017 and 31st January 2018 inclusive.

The application must be submitted by the thesis supervisor or by the Director of the laboratory.
It must include:

➜ a copy of the thesis manuscript, and a link to a URL allowing to consult the thesis (type HAL)
➜ the reports of defense written by the President of the Jury of the Thesis,
➜ the reports of the referees,
➜ the reprints of the publications resulting from the thesis work.

The complete application form must be sent by regular mail to the Nanosciences Fondation in printed form.

In addition, an electronic version of the complete dossier must be sent by e-mail (in the form of a single compressed file .zip or .rar type) to the Director of the Fondation.

2018, September 3, 12pm : Deadline for the submission of applications

At the official awards ceremony in January 2019, the winners will be invited to come to Grenoble and to give a short presentation of their work and receive the prize from the Nanosciences Fondation ’s President. Traditionally, researchers recently distinguished by prestigious scientific awards are invited to the ceremony.
